Bio

What was I doing choosing law as a career? It took a series of panic attacks in 2012 and a life-altering three months in a wheelchair to wake me up. One day, I stumbled upon a book at a newsstand featuring a man photographing a gorgeous forest. "That's the life I want", I realized.

I then launched my YouTube channel to hone my technique and storytelling skills. My work gained traction, and I transferred to NYU. While there, high-profile YouTubers began reaching out, eager to discover how I could deliver such a high production value. My knack for efficiency caught the attention of companies like Adidas, Red Bull, and McDonald's, who enlisted me to helm advertising campaigns. That's when I officially became a director and started Pilli.

My passion led me to chase crazy ideas, like racing a Jaguar against a helicopter. Fortunately, I found partners who believed in my vision. Chief among them is my creative collaborator and Director of Photography, Anna Mendes.

Together, we built a portfolio and applied for an "Alien with Extraordinary Abilities" visa. We arrived in the United States in 2019 and have since collaborated with industry giants like Google, Uber Eats, Twitter, and the NFL.

Our most recent short film was selected for The Proof Film Festival by The American Cinematheque. And now, we're taking the next big leap—our first feature film is in the works.
